Soprano Megan Walker hails from the beautiful state of Montana where she has been singing as a soloist and in choral ensembles for over a decade. She has also been a member in opera choruses and played small roles in operas with Intermountain Opera of Bozeman, MT and Montana Lyric Opera of Missoula, MT. Megan earned a BA in music from Montana State University – Bozeman where she was a member of the Chorale and top small ensemble, Montanans. She went on to the University of Montana in Missoula to earn her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology where she also participated in the Chamber Chorale and continued private voice study. Megan served as soprano section leader for four years with one of Montana’s top choirs, Dolce Canto, participating in state and regional tours, as well as a trip to sing in Carnegie Hall. In Missoula, Megan also served as a cantor at Saint Francis Xavier church and gave private voice lessons, as well as working as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). In the summer of 2014, Megan earned her certificate in Vocology through the National Center for Voice and Speech (NCVS). Almost a year later, Megan moved to Salt Lake City to further her career as a SLP specializing in the treatment of voice disorders. She currently works as a SLP/voice specialist at ENT Specialists and as a research associate at NCVS in SLC.
